Bio: Zander Zon is a solo bassist from London whose home-made YouTube videos have amassed more than a million total views. Along with his original compositions such as 'Epic Love', Zander has arranged a variety of music for the solo bass guitar, ranging from Led Zeppelin's 'Stairway to Heaven' to Pachelbel's 'Canon in D'. He was recently featured in Bass Guitar Magazine, the UK's leading bass publication, as well as Bassline Publishing's 'Solo Arrangements for Electric Bass', which includes an interview along with a transcription of his compostion - 'I, Resolute'. In early 2010, Zander released his debut solo album - Sonorous. It contains 10 original solo bass compositions and can be purchased at iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby and Bassline Publishing.
Zander Zon’s music has an aching beauty at times. He uses altered tunings (a different one on each track), guitar-like finger-picking techniques and a predominance of harmonics to create an individual style.
